MEC DISEASE MODELS & CELL LINES
Disease Models
To accelerate progress against MEC, cureMEC is committed to making high-quality disease models broadly available to the research community. We acquire, develop, and validate new models, and share them through trusted public repositories so investigators worldwide can access the tools they need.
Currently available models include:
Two MEC cell lines
An MEC patient-derived xenograft (PDX) model
A genetically engineered MEC mouse model
A synthetic MEC cell model
Each model undergoes careful validation to ensure that they are derived from MEC tumors and are properly identified, giving researchers confidence in the integrity of the models they use.
Cell Line Repository
cureMEC partners with the American Type Culture Collection (ATCC) to maintain and distribute MEC cell lines through ATCC’s global network. Many of these lines are part of ATCC’s General Collection and can be purchased directly from their website. For cell lines not included in the General Collection, cureMEC supports access through a private repository at ATCC, available under a material transfer agreement (MTA).
