MEC DISEASE MODELS & CELL LINES

Disease Models

To accelerate progress against MEC, cureMEC is committed to working with researchers to make high-quality disease models broadly available to the research community. We acquire, develop, and validate new models, and share them so investigators worldwide can access the tools they need. 

Currently available models include:

  • An MEC cell line

  • An MEC patient-derived xenograft (PDX) model

  • A genetically engineered MEC mouse model

  • A synthetic MEC cell model

Each model undergoes careful validation to ensure that they are derived from MEC tumors and are properly identified, giving researchers confidence in the integrity of the models they use.
